# About I Love Medellín

> I Love Medellín has helped English-speaking travelers explore Medellín since 2012. In 2026 we rebuilt the site from the ground up as an independent guide to the city's neighborhoods, sights, food, places to stay and day trips.

## What we do

We write practical guides to Medellín and the towns around it: what to see, which neighborhood to stay in, where to eat and drink, how to get around, and how to plan day trips to places like Guatapé and Jardín. We also profile individual places, from museums and parks to restaurants, cafés and hotels. Each profile explains what the place is like, who it suits and how to get there, and links to its official website.

## How we pick

We started with the places and topics we've covered since 2012, checked which ones still exist, and added the guides a first-time visitor needs most. Every place on the site is checked against its official website and recent listings before we publish, and we note the date we last checked it. Read more in [how we choose places](/editorial-policy/).

## Who we are

I Love Medellín is part of the CRJ Network, a small group of independent travel guides. We don't accept payment to be listed or ranked.

## Corrections

Medellín changes fast. Restaurants close, opening hours shift and new metro lines open. If something on the site is out of date or wrong, please let us know and we'll check it and fix it.
